The trumpet swans are back!
The trumpet swans are back!
I think there can never be too much Kermit in spring. Let's sing!

Spring fever. After a relatively rough winter, things are warming up and the forest is humming with tree frogs, wood frogs, and spring peeps. Ramps (Allium tricoccum) are starting to emerge in our ramp beds. And we've set up a bee hive. Best of all, first snake of the year: an eastern garter snake (Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis). #frogs #athensoh #snakes #bees #spring
It's actually the shade of a tree, but it looks like these daisies are definitely up to no good
#Mondog time of the week. I forgot to wear anything green at all today, but I didn't get pinched. Happy St. Patrick's Day from someone with no Irish blood in him.
Dogwood is pretty, and so is Kengo sunbathing.
Have a good week ahead, everyone.
Just a touch of spring here in #Asheville, as my #Yoshino #Cherry tree begins to pop a few blossoms.
Not much of a photo, but so nice to see
In case anyone needs to see daffodils today…
(Apologies for the grey clouds. They are beyond my control.)
Cherry blossoms and blue sky to begin the week. #FotoMontag #PhotoMonday #photography #nature #flowers #spring
While it may be windy and cold outside right now, my geraniums soak up the sun and wait for their time to flourish. Sometimes, you need to sit out for a season and conserve your energy. Nothing lasts forever. If you’re in the middle of a storm right now, invest in your health and prepare for your eventual blooming season. It’s coming.
This cute bunny is waiting for spring, or for Easter, or... for you!
Have a lovely day!

Good morning, friends.
17 March 2025
Every morning over the past few days, as I open the blinds in my office and look out the window, the grass has seemed a little greener. Spring is just three days away. Deciduous trees are beginning to sprout new leaves, and faint traces of yellow pollen are starting to emerge. Today, the sky is crystal clear—a definite sign that spring is near. At the edges of the forest, a few tiny pink, white, and yellow wildflowers have begun to bloom, though they’re still too sparse to dominate the view. Yesterday, I spotted cowbirds. They’ve been gone all winter, but now they’re back, ready to help fill the spring nests of other birds. Winter is finally coming to an end, and its return feels distant, safely tucked away in the cycle of seasons.

That come before the swallow dares, and take
The winds of March with beauty." -

Good morning. Some Snowdrop blooms remain after a brief covering of snow and cooler temperatures. Spring is trying. #Photography #Today #Spring #Bloomscrolling #Chicago
