Pack of coyotes on the other side of fence. The dog warned them off, but then was hanging out as they were yipping back. Had to haul him back inside. Big dummy. 😬

(he's a big dog, but a full pack of coyotes is inadvisable. They eat small dogs around here.)

I met this gray Jay (Perisoreus canadensis) earlier this week in the mountains. It was begging for food. They used to get fed by loggers living in camps back in the days. Nowadays they are fed by hikers. They can be agressive if you don't comply and will steal your food. They don't like me because I don't feed wildlife. I can live with that.

Heron in the Morning Light

I took this image of a great blue heron (Ardea herodias) at Gulfport, Mississippi.

I've had several inquiries about how to get a print of some my photographs. This is a hobby for me, so I haven't been equipped to handle those requests. But I enjoy what I'm doing and want to share my photographs.

So, I set up an account and website with pixels. My website is:

swede1952-photographs.pixels.c

If you want a print of one of my photographs, you can get it there, If I haven't loaded it, let me know which one it is, and I'll gladly load it there for you.

"The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards just announced its annual selection of winning and highly commended photographs. The images span the animal kingdom, from armored mantises to furry felines, but all do something to capture the humorous in what can be a quite uncaring world."
