Anyone know what this chip is? I can't find it online, and the JVC AV-20220 is a CRT TV. This is a chip in a Zenith VCR, and appears to be a JVC VC20220.

Edit: It's VS2022D, not 0. Still, can't find any data sheets.

Question for #retrogaming enthusiasts. How much does input latency matter to you, and why?

Don't get me wrong here - I fully appreciate the work that has gone into (for example) DaemonBite adapters that have been measured down to or below 1ms in latency, but... does that actually matter?

You need to hit 240Hz before your inputs have to happen faster than 5ms to change on every frame, and... what retro game does that?

@FediTips, I’m having a lot of trouble with the mastodon iPhone app where all of a sudden while reading a toot the screen jerks and I’m pushed to 5 or 10 posts down. I have to scroll back up to continue reading what I was before being interrupted. Then it happens again. I’m suspecting this is possibly because some of the posts with links render a preview and causes all posts under it to realign vertically. Is this a known issue? Even a local newspaper here in West Bengal, India, carried a headline recently re: the outbreak of a kind of stomach flu, with symptoms such as lack of appetite, exhaustion, indigestion, and diarrhoea. My BFFs are down with it, and I am, too. And yesterday the news announced an oncoming heat wave this weekend

EDIT 15:33 HRS: following @hopeward 's clue, I think this could be a norovirus outbreak, because reading up on it, the symptoms all match. I don't know if the TV news channels have covered it at all.

Masking is sporadic here, almost rare. I still mask up, but ~ it does get difficult to breathe in a mask at 12:30 PM at 36°C ~ especially when chronic pain makes it hard for me to breathe even at home. Outside, there's also significant shaming and peer pressure to NOT mask up.

And as always, it's way worse for people with #Disabilities and #ChronicIllness (for instance: me), but people in this ableist, fascist hellhole of a country never want to talk about it.

Being able to offsite a backup with a friend is probably the most important feature for my requirements.

#Synology seems to be the best option, but based on some reading, I’m worried about their software eventually being put behind a subscription.
