Dash and Meg. Another OC piece. I'm about two hours into the drawing part, after an hour of making a rough digital collage (kind of like how you'd do with magazines, taking a nose from one page, eyes from another) to bodge together a reference image. But once I'm drawing, I'm pretty much in a fugue and the real characters come out.

"You really want to see my true power? Fine... let me lower my mask~"

Today marks the one year anniversary of the start of my drawing quest. This time last year I hastily scribbled a few faces on a sheet of paper. I am really proud of how far I have come this year.

This avatar was originally designed by my friend @LianSirenia@kitsunes.club who put it together for my YouTube channel. At the time Lian didn't know, but I was so inspired by her art I dreamed to learn myself. That is why I scribbled those faces on the paper.

Not only has Lian inspired me to draw but she made this "Digital Explorer" avatar which helped me grow my channel to over 1000 subs. I told her when I came out has trans that I felt so heartbroken that I wouldn't get to use her avatar she worked so hard on for me. I loved it so much because Lian made it for me and I was able to do so much with it.

I dedicate this drawing to you Lian. You have always been a true friend and a wonderful mentor to me in so many capacities. I hope you take as much pride in this drawing as I have put into it because I wouldn't have ever been able to get this far if it wasn't for you~ Thank you from the bottom of my heart~ ​:rain_trans_heart:​

Figured while I was at it, I might as well tweak my sketch/drawing brush a little too. I did a little more adjustment than I expected and I'm happy with them for doodling quickly, but I will try something a little more involved tomorrow since It's nearing bed time.

Reworking my flat brush made me think of a few ideas to revise my round brush. Didn't want to spend too long on it as I primarily use rounds for detailing and blending, but I'm happy with this and the increased flexibility for my own purposes.

I’m just here to share my passion for art and connect with all of you who appreciate genuine, handmade work.
