Look, I've already had my surgery and I'm not on HRT. And I have private insurance, AND I had to pay for my top surgery myself with credit card and crowd funding. (Because I'm nonbinary and not on HRT, it wasn't covered in Washington state's Medicaid that I was on at the time.) So this doesn't affect me personally in the slightest.
But I'm not gonna be like "I got mine!" and shove everyone else under the bus. Trans care is medical care, it saves lives (my top surgery marked the turning point of my own mental health recovery). So this counts for kids (already lost their care), low-income folks being covered by the state (coming for that now), and trans people with good insurance and loads of money (up next).
It is unacceptable to lose this progress we've made.
