A dried out hillside by the sea, mostly covered with gray dead grasses, scrub plants, and reedy plants (with a few green patches of succulents in a couple of spots).

There is a dirt footpath that is mostly overgrown, but stretches out all along the hillside to its horizon.

Clumps of grassy shrubs are yellowy brown scattered all over the path, and one part ahead appears completely overgrown with them, obscuring the path completely till farther along the hill.

The ocean is flat and gray in the corner of the image, and the sky above it is a hazy blue gray color.

Dog Canyon is part of the seldom seen, west side of the only mountain range in Texas. In fact you have to drive on a dirt road through New Mexico to even get there (though there is a long trail from the east.)

Here is a peaceful scene from last week’s #snowshoeing adventure in the White #Mountains of #NewHampshire. I had been snowshoeing for 3.5 hours and had only seen one person. I was completely alone in my thoughts being one with #nature! So wonderful! #FootpathFriday #winter #hiking
