A local news story talks about downtown merchants "pushing back against charter school" but there's just one little problem:

They didn't talk to any downtown merchants for their story. Rather they talked to one city official worried about issuing liquor licenses, and had B-roll from a public hearing on the subject (no actual comments from hearing were included in the story).

KXII · Downtown Ardmore business owners pushing back against charter schoolBy Austin Hedgcoth

The local paper is covering the same story with a vital detail not included in the TV station's story:

"Community Development staff recommended denial of the permit, stating the biggest concern for the city is the impact a school would have on the city’s commercial downtown zoning district."

So it wasn't local businesses pushing back, but an city department.
